RTÜK launches investigation into Asena Keskinci's series 'Jasmine'

In recent days, the series 'Jasmine' has drawn public attention due to the explicit scenes it contains. Following the broadcast of the first episode, the series was subjected to widespread criticism. Following these criticisms, the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) took action in line with the complaints received.

The series 'Jasmine', which is broadcast on a digital platform and stars Asena Keskinci, known for the series 'Bez Bebek', has entered RTÜK's investigation radar.

In its statement, RTÜK noted that the series contains content that targets the Turkish family structure and contradicts national and moral values. It also announced that the series would be investigated on the grounds that it contains scenes that exploit women and are contrary to general morality.

The following statements were included in the RTÜK announcement:

"An investigation has been launched by the Radio and Television Supreme Council into the production titled 'Jasmine', broadcast on a digital platform, due to its content that targets the family structure that forms the foundation of Turkish society, clearly contradicts our national and moral values, exploits women, and is contrary to general morality."
