Soner Yalçın also leaves Sözcü
Journalist and author Soner Yalçın has announced that he is leaving Sözcü newspaper, where he has been a columnist for 11 years.
Following the resignation of Metin Yılmaz, who served as Editor-in-Chief at Sözcü newspaper for 17 years, Aytunç Erkin had also announced his departure last week.
Finally, Soner Yalçın, who has been a columnist since 2013, has also bid farewell to Sözcü.
'A NEW ERA IS COMING TO TURKEY'
Soner Yalçın announced the news of his departure in his column today:
“11 years have passed since my 'Hello' article...
A new era is coming to Turkey. Sözcü will continue to walk its path under these extraordinary conditions and will not be defeated by eras...
And yet: Unfortunately, I will not be able to be by the newspaper's side with my articles...
Even if farewells hurt, sometimes one must go.
Yes, dear reader, the time to part has come. I am glad you exist.
I also thank every colleague who contributed.
Goodbye...”
