Tele1 television, under court-appointed trustees, put up for sale by TMSF management

Tele1 television had been transferred to TMSF trusteeship following the arrest of its Editor-in-Chief Merdan Yanardağ in October 2025 on charges of 'espionage'.

Following these developments, the TMSF has officially initiated the sale process for the television station. According to the statement made by the institution, the sale will be conducted through an open bid method, and the deadline for participation in the tender has been set for June 16, 2026.

In the TMSF's announcement, ABC Radyo Televizyon ve Dijital Yayıncılık AŞ and TELE1 Prodüksiyon Medya ve Reklam Hizmetleri Sanayi Ticaret Limited Şirketi, which are the owners of Tele1, are defined as the "owners." The estimated value of the "TELE1 TV Commercial and Economic Integrity" offered for sale was announced as 28 million TL.

The scope of the sale includes Tele1's general broadcasting license, cable and internet broadcasting rights, and all trademarks and contracts. Those wishing to participate in the tender are required to provide a deposit of 2 million 800 thousand TL. With this sale process organized by the TMSF, the future of Tele1, which is among the seized media organizations, has begun to be awaited with curiosity.
