The new destination of İsmail Saymaz, who left Halk TV, has been revealed
It has been learned that journalist İsmail Saymaz, who left Halk TV, has reached an agreement with Sözcü TV and Sözcü newspaper.
Journalist Fatih Altaylı wrote that his colleague İsmail Saymaz, who left Halk TV, has reached an agreement with Sözcü TV and Sözcü newspaper.
In his column, Altaylı stated that he had spoken with Saymaz and reported that the journalist would be returning to Sözcü. Altaylı's post also included Saymaz's assessment regarding the separation process.
According to Altaylı, Saymaz used the following expressions: “I wanted to leave respectfully, by mutual agreement, without offending Cafer Mahiroğlu. That is why the process took so long. This is the reason why I could not be included in the announcements.”
Altaylı stated that Saymaz's two-year period of writing and appearing on screen at Halk TV has come to an end, adding, “I wish İsmail success in his new channel and newspaper.”
There have been transitions between Sözcü and Halk TV in Saymaz's media career before. After leaving Hürriyet in 2020, Saymaz reached an agreement with Sözcü newspaper the same year, and later moved to Halk TV.
Saymaz left Halk TV in 2023 to join Sözcü TV; in June 2024, he announced that he had left Sözcü TV and moved to Halk TV.
