Transfer of Ciner Yayın Holding approved by Competition Authority: Now owned by Can Group
The Competition Authority has approved the transfer of Ciner Yayın Holding, which includes media organizations such as Habertürk, Show TV, and Bloomberg HT, to the Can Group. Following the transfer, media investments will be managed by Kenan Tekdağ.
The transfer of Ciner Yayın Holding, owned by businessman Turgay Ciner and housing media outlets such as Habertürk, Show TV, and Bloomberg HT, to the Can Group has been approved by the Competition Authority, following the announcement of its sale some time ago. The Park Group, which decided to end its media investments, is transferring all its shares in Ciner Yayın Holding to the Can Group.
TO BE MANAGED BY KENAN TEKDAĞ
According to reports by Ekol Tv, the Park Group had announced that it would withdraw from the media sector to focus on its core business area, the mining sector. The transfer agreement was signed with the Can Group, which also owns educational institutions such as Bilgi University and Doğa College.

According to the latest information, the Competition Authority has approved the transfer in question. Following the transfer procedures, the Can Group's media investments will be managed by Mehmet Kenan Tekdağ. In a previous statement made by the Can Group, it was stated, "We thank the Park Group for their respectable business approach. Our investments in the media sector will be managed by Ciner Yayın Holding Chairman of the Board Mr. Mehmet Kenan Tekdağ as the sole authorized person."

WHO IS KENAN TEKDAĞ?
Born in 1956 in Doğubeyazıt, Ağrı, Mehmet Kenan Tekdağ graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1979. After serving as a public prosecutor for a period, he began working as a freelance lawyer in 1984. Kenan Tekdağ is married and a father of three. Kenan Tekdağ will manage the Can Group's media investments.
