Turgay Ciner has the Susurluk Report blocked

Turgay Ciner, the businessman who owns Show TV, Habertürk TV, Habertürk Newspaper, and Habertürk Radio, has obtained a court order to block access to 200 news reports that mention his name, including those containing allegations of misconduct.

According to a report by Ali Safa Korkut from Free Web Turkey, Ciner used a decision dated December 18 from the Istanbul 7th Criminal Court of Peace to block access to the “Susurluk Report” on Wikisource, which, like Wikipedia, is one of the projects of the Wikimedia Foundation.

HE WAS LINKED TO ÖMER LÜTFİ TOPAL

In the Susurluk Report, written by former Prime Ministry Inspection Board Chairman Kutlu Savaş, Ciner was linked to Ömer Lütfi Topal, who served prison time in the USA and Belgium for drug trafficking.

Ciner's name appeared in the section of the report detailing accusations related to drug trafficking.

THE SOURCE OF HIS WEALTH HAD BEEN BROUGHT UP

The report, which was published as a book by the Radikal newspaper in 1997, also examined the death of Topal, known as the "Casino King," and mentioned that there were various comments regarding the sources of Ciner's wealth.
