Yılmaz Özdil announces his new channel! “Now is the time to speak...”

Yılmaz Özdil, who left his position at Sözcü TV while blaming the CHP leadership, announced in a post on his Twitter account that his YouTube channel 'blabla' will begin broadcasting on October 10.

In the video, Özdil used the following expressions:

"I did my best to defend the honor of the pen, risking being stoned by the very people we fought for. I told what I knew to be true, straight and direct. I had said that life would surely explain what I failed to explain, and life has explained it. Since even those who did not want to see that we were trying to explain what was happening have now seen it, now is the time to speak."

"TRUTHS ARE LIKE 'CORMORANTS'"

Making a post on his X account as well, Özdil stated, "Truths are like 'cormorants'; you think they have sunk, been buried, disappeared from sight, and vanished, but they emerge with a huge fish in their mouth... Starting from October 10, we are picking up where we left off."

HE HAD RESIGNED FROM SÖZCÜ TV

Yılmaz Özdil had left his position at Sözcü TV 39 days after the television channel began its broadcasting life. After İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener reacted to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu becoming the presidential candidate and left the Table of Six, Yılmaz Özdil, who blamed the CHP leadership, claimed that CHP executives had lobbied against him after Akşener returned to the table.

While announcing his resignation, Özdil had used the following expressions: 

"Let me open a parenthesis... It would be a lie to say that I was not saddened by the fact that a campaign was launched against me using the name of the CHP leadership so that I would be removed from my post immediately, so that I would not remain in my post for even a second. I am used to AKP campaigns; everyone who knows me knows that I don't even care, but as a lifelong CHP member, I was truly saddened that party resources were spent on this campaign. It's a pity for the CHP's money, my brother. Those who launched a lynching campaign against me using the name of the CHP leadership because I said that Meral Akşener did not break the table but was deliberately pushed off the table, and because I said 'those who say Meral Akşener broke the table are mercenary journalists,' what will they say now?"

After Yılmaz Özdil's resignation, Korcan Karar, who presented the main news bulletin, also left Sözcü TV.
