Ahmet Yavuz's response to Şahin: It is a situation that exceeds his capacity to understand

Journalist Zafer Şahin wrote about the meeting of the CHP's National Security Policies Advisory Board in his column in Milliyet newspaper today. Şahin wrote about the retired military officers who attended the meeting. In his article, Şahin claimed that the names of 3 retired military officers who attended the meeting were hidden. Şahin ended his article titled 'Who are these retired soldiers of the CHP?' by asking, "No one should take offense, but if you are going to take a role in a party, why are you hiding your name? Isn't this situation contrary to transparency?"

Retired Major General Ahmet Yavuz responded to Şahin's article on his social media account. Stating that he was one of the people Şahin claimed were the hidden retired soldiers in his article, Yavuz said, "It had already been announced that day." 

Yavuz wrote the following:

"Zafer Şahin has tried to create mystery in his own mind! I am one of those retired soldiers. It had already been announced that day. He acted as if he didn't know! Just as I expected! It is patriotism to answer those who ask for our opinion. Moreover, doing this without expecting any benefit is a situation that exceeds Şahin's capacity to understand. Besides, you asked the question wrong, Mr. Zafer! We are not the CHP's retired soldiers. We are honorable people whose opinions the CHP consults. We are responsible for stating our opinions, and those who ask are responsible for taking them into account. We are also not among his acquaintances who are fed by money. We think about the unity and integrity of the country today and tomorrow just as we did yesterday. Of course, yesterday's 'Opening' supporters, yesterday's FETÖ lovers, and today's refugee enthusiasts don't quite understand this! Let me continue on my own behalf: There are other parties that are curious about my views and ask, and I share them with them without expecting anything in return, that is, without being fed by anyone."
