He had reminded CBRT Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan of inflation: 'Does Mr. Tayyip need a Brother Sadık?'

Journalist Murat Yetkin made remarks regarding the inflation dialogue between Central Bank Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan and her apartment superintendent, Brother Sadık.

"DOES MR. TAYYIP NEED A BROTHER SADIK?"

"Erkan receiving consumer intelligence from her apartment superintendent, Brother Sadık, is a more valuable indicator than it appears. It gives the impression that she is more familiar with the problems the public faces, from food prices to rents, than the economic administration is," said Yetkin, asking, "Do you think Mr. Recep Tayyip needs a Brother Sadık too, Ms. Hafize Gaye?"

"ALONGSIDE YES-MAN ECONOMIC ADVISORS..."

Yetkin further stated the following in his article:

"While Erdoğan was telling members who wanted him to loosen the purse strings—as if complaining about Şimşek’s austerity efforts—at the AK Party MKYK meeting that 'I do not interfere with Mr. Mehmet. He makes his own decisions,' he was actually showing who he would hold accountable if a U-turn is needed based on the March 31 results. For that reason, Mr. Mehmet, just like Ms. Hafize Gaye, might need a Brother Sadık to convey what is happening through the eyes of the public and to discuss it with him. In my opinion, it would be beneficial for the public and the country if President Erdoğan also listened to Brother Sadık by consulting with CBRT Governor Erkan, or better yet, if he found a Brother Sadık in addition to his yes-man economic advisors."
