Erdoğan's '3 metropolitan cities' bargain

Journalist and author Murat Yetkin evaluated the claims that President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan requested support in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir during his meetings with the leaders of HÜDA PAR and the New Welfare Party.

Assessing that the alliance process between the AKP and MHP has become complicated, Yetkin stated, "The committee established between the AK Party and MHP to determine in which provinces cooperation will be pursued or joint candidates will be fielded has not yet reached a full conclusion..."

Yetkin expressed that if Erdoğan were to convey the demands of the New Welfare Party and HÜDA PAR to the MHP, Bahçeli's bargaining power could increase.
