Fatma Şahin’s retweeters... Profiles created in November with women's photos

As local elections approach, incumbent mayors continue to share their activities on social media. Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin shared images of herself sorting grapes with women. A social media user revealed that those retweeting Şahin's post were bot accounts.

From time to time, the issue of politicians having fake profiles -fake, bot- as followers comes up on social media. The latest name to be brought to the agenda is Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin. Şahin shared moments of herself sorting grapes with women in the İncilikaya neighborhood on her social media account. Şahin's post, which received 24,400 views, was retweeted 70 times and received over 3,000 likes.

A Twitter user named Sinem Görücü revealed that those leaving positive comments on Şahin's tweet were fake users. Görücü claimed that the fake accounts were profiles opened in November 2023, all of which used women's photos in their profiles and shared the same content. Quoting Şahin's tweet, Görücü wrote the following:

"I clicked one by one on the accounts commenting under this post like 'Oh my mayor, you are so sweet, you are so successful,' etc. All of them were opened in November 2023, all of them use women's photos, and all of them have retweeted the same things in order: (I am adding the rest below.)

All of their usernames are also name-surname + 4-7 digit numbers.

All of them have commented on the same things in order and retweeted the same accounts. These accounts: -Fatma Hanım -Gaziantep Youth Branch President Durmuş -Eyüpsultan Solidarity Association Gaziantep -City of Civilization account. Also, there are those in between who retweet polls where İmamoğlu comes in first and Şahin in second.

The most interesting part is that they are trying to highlight a satisfaction poll where CHP mayors are in 1st, 3rd, and 4th place by retweeting it. I don't know if it's because they accept the success of these mayors or because they think 'let's save ourselves, whatever the AKP does, it doesn't matter.' :D

The poll says; Fatma Şahin is so successful, so successful that she is ALMOST as successful a mayor as İmamoğlu. :D That's what the poll they shared says. :D
