Harsh reaction from Erol Mütercimler: 'Why was no investigation opened for the soldiers who died from dehydration?'

Journalist and academic Erol Mütercimler made striking statements regarding the recent news of fallen soldiers in the Turkish Armed Forces. 

Reminding that two soldiers lost their lives due to dehydration, Mütercimler harshly criticized the fact that no investigation has been opened into those responsible for this incident.

"How can such a disgrace happen?" Mütercimler expressed his reaction by saying, "Why has an investigation not yet been opened into the person in charge of this military unit?" he asked. Emphasizing that the principles of military discipline and accountability were ignored in his statement, Mütercimler expressed that it created the impression that the incident was being covered up.

Mütercimler also stated that no satisfactory explanation has been provided to the public regarding the soldiers who were martyred in a cave in recent weeks. He expressed that the public conscience has been wounded by these events, stating, "A group of our children, sons of the homeland, were also martyred in a cave, and there is still no proper explanation."
