The People's Liberation Party (HKP) organized a conference titled "We Want Them Back," attended by representatives from Socialist Cuba and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The event began with the International anthem.

Speakers at the event, held at the United Metal Workers' Union headquarters, included Nakliyat-İş Union President Ali Rıza Küçükosmanoğlu, Venezuelan Consul General in Istanbul Lisette Margarita Hernandez, HKP Istanbul Provincial Chair Pınar Akbina Karaman, HKP Deputy Chair Dr. Mustafa Şahbaz, and representing Cuba, consuls responsible for economic and commercial affairs Lisvan Aleaga Tamayo and Rosa Amelia Frade Sanchez.

As part of the "We Want Them Back" solidarity event organized by the HKP, letters were sent from various provinces to the prison where Maduro and his wife Cilia are being held.

'THE DAY MADURO RETURNS TO US'

In her speech, Venezuelan Consul General in Istanbul Lisette Margarita Hernandez said, "I want to give a message to those of you who produce from the heart. The day our constitutional president Maduro returns to us, all the peoples of the world will actually win," and expressed her gratitude.

'MEANS DISREGARDING THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK'

Hernandez stated, "What is at stake today is not just a government or a person. What is at stake is the historical continuity of a sovereign nation, its right to exist, and the possibility of protecting its collective identity, which is the core of its moral and political resistance. Allowing what happened on January 3 to set a precedent and be normalized, like a 'domino' effect, means accepting that we bow to imperialism and disregarding the legal framework that governs international institutions and the principles of equality and respect between states. This situation threatens not only the Latin American region but the entire world."

'A VILE ATTACK WAS CARRIED OUT AGAINST THE IRANIAN PEOPLE'

In his speech, Nakliyat-İş Union President Ali Rıza Küçükosmanoğlu criticized the attack carried out by the US and Israel against Iran, saying, "A vile attack was carried out against the Iranian people. Khamenei and his comrades who lost their lives in that attack, and likewise, students were massacred in a school in that same attack. I would like to respectfully commemorate all those who lost their lives. Our solidarity will continue with the people of Venezuela, the people of Palestine, socialist Cuba, the people of Iran, and all the peoples of the world who resist and fight against imperialism."
