'Justice delayed is not justice!' We are on the verge of a tough reckoning...

When we look at recent political developments in Turkey, we cannot help but ask the following question:

Are we evolving from a multi-party system into a two-party order?

According to Supreme Election Council data, there are dozens of political parties in our country that have earned the right to participate in elections. However, when we look at the political spectrum today, two major poles that are truly effective in the field stand out: the AKP and the CHP.

One is pursuing the goal of maintaining power, while the other is pursuing the goal of creating "hope" beyond just being the opposition. However, the desire to divide the opposition is now as clearly visible as the government's desire to remain in power.

JUSTICE OR A SHOW?

The allegations of irregularities and objections regarding the will of the delegates that occurred at the CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention have gone far beyond being a mere internal party matter.

Indeed, these irregularities were also voiced in public by President Erdoğan.

The "lack of jurisdiction" decision made by the Court of First Instance hearing the case was overturned by the High Criminal Court. In other words:

The Court of First Instance will hear the convention case again.

However, the issue is no longer which court is hearing it, but "who wants it," which is the determining factor. Because in this country, if the AKP wants justice to be served, it is; if the AKP does not want it, injustice, lawlessness, and suspicion continue to spread like a fog.

Why, you ask?

Because that is what the boss wants!

THE BEST OPPOSITION: AN INEFFECTIVE OPPOSITION

The strategy the government has adopted for many years is clear: A fragmented opposition is the best opposition.

Even better, if possible, is a "dead main opposition."

Today, not only the CHP but almost all opposition parties are unable to put forward a comprehensive plan regarding the economic crisis, a strategy regarding agricultural production, or a realistic project for industry.

Instead of "facing the facts," "acting out a role" is preferred.

The government, turning all this disarray into an opportunity, continues its operations to divide the CHP both from within and from the outside.

THE LONELY AND THOSE WHO PAY THE PRICE

And what about those left alone inside?

They are the "minority consciences" who try to remain clean within themselves and try to voice the real demands of the people.

Unfortunately, the CHP management acts as if it is so unaware of the situation that it cannot see that the operations launched over corruption in municipalities are merely "AKP projects trying to clear their own names."

THE AUTUMN RECKONING

Whatever decision emerges in September, the picture that will appear is clear:

The possibility of heading to an early election with a tired, worn-out CHP struggling with allegations of impropriety.

It is unknown who this picture benefits or who it harms. But one thing is certain:

This country is too valuable to be sacrificed to the ambitions of party leaders who are not free.

This is not a complaint; this is a cry!

It is a call for resistance against those who are trying to seize the Republic, which Mustafa Kemal Atatürk called his "greatest work," and the Republican People's Party, which is the most fundamental institution of that Republic.
