Tantan's reaction to HÜDA PAR: Will the People's Alliance continue to carry HÜDA PAR along?

The speech delivered by HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu during the budget negotiations at the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) has sparked reactions. Former Minister of Interior Sadettin Tantan asked, "Who is making the HÜDA PAR chairman voice ideas of autonomy and federation?"

HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu used the following expressions in his speech at the TBMM General Assembly:

"We say, and I am reading it exactly, look: We say that 'governance models such as state systems, autonomy, and federations should be able to be discussed freely with all their positive and negative aspects.'"

Another reaction to Yapıcıoğlu's controversial remarks came from former Minister of Interior Sadettin Tantan. Tantan stated the following in a post on social media:

“While Turkey mourns its martyrs, who is making the HÜDA PAR chairman, who provokes the public from the parliamentary podium, voice ideas of autonomy and federation? What does the AKP think about the ideas of this person who entered the Parliament under the protection of the AKP?

It is time for the cards to be laid on the table; it must be revealed through actions who is national and who is anti-national. Whoever brings up autonomy and federation in Turkey serves the purpose of imperialism. It is time to choose between those who side with imperialism and those who are national.

Will the partners of the People's Alliance continue to carry HÜDA PAR, which entered the election with them, along? If they will, what do they think about autonomy and federation? If not, why have you made this structure your partner?

In the name of which nation does the HÜDA PAR chairman want autonomy and federation? What business does someone who does not speak in the name of the Turkish nation have in the TBMM? The silence of those who defended HÜDA PAR tooth and nail before the election is significant.

Who is turning a blind eye to the defense of divisive ideas in the supreme Parliament—such as city-states and splitting into cantons, which are American projects—by individuals known in the archives and remembered by the public? Why is the Parliament silent against those who want to divide Turkey?

Between 1999 and 2001, terrorism was ended through determined struggle. Those who took over the government in 2002 with zero terrorism and sat at the table with organized crime syndicates and terrorist organizations in Oslo under the leadership of British intelligence have committed constitutional crimes.

Everyone must know this: Turkey will never lose its unitary state character, and the traitors who want to divide our country will be judged by the Turkish nation. Let no one think they have found an empty field; the Turkish nation will always defend its country.

While we are experiencing the pain of our martyrs and mourning our losses, our nation will give the necessary response to someone who insists on autonomy from the parliamentary podium.”
