CHP Deputy Chairman Yıldırım Kaya, in a statement made on the 11th anniversary of the October 10 Ankara Train Station Massacre, commemorated those who lost their lives in the attack and reiterated his call for justice regarding the judicial process.
In a post on his social media account, Kaya stated that 103 people who gathered in front of the Ankara Train Station on October 10, 2015, with the demand for "peace, democracy, and brotherhood" were massacred, and noted that despite the years that have passed, there are still issues in the case file awaiting answers.
Drawing attention to fugitive defendants, unclarified connections, and allegations of negligence that have not been accounted for, Kaya asked the questions: "Why could this massacre not be prevented? Who are the individuals responsible for the intelligence and security failures?"
Justice will not be served until the 103 lives are accounted for and all those responsible are held to account before an independent judiciary.
In his statement, Kaya used the phrase "We have not forgotten the darkness that massacred those who wanted peace, and we will not let it be forgotten," indicating that the struggle for justice will continue.
