A call for a new political initiative from Ekrem İmamoğlu

CHP's presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu announced the establishment of Presidential Candidacy Offices in a statement made from Marmara Prison in Silivri. İmamoğlu stated that these offices represent an important step for the future of Turkey.

In his statement, İmamoğlu said, "We are embarking on a new journey with our Presidential Candidacy Office, which our Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel announced yesterday at the CHP Group Meeting. We are taking the first step of a new administration that will bring justice and prosperity to our country." He emphasized that these offices will serve as bases where the vision for Turkey will be prepared with broad participation and explained in every province, district, and neighborhood.

The executive board of the Presidential Candidacy Offices will include CHP Secretary General Selin Sayek Böke, Aydın Deputy Bülent Tezcan representing the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Group, and Serkan Özcan, a close colleague of İmamoğlu. İmamoğlu invited all citizens to take an active role in these offices, contribute to the process, and take initiative in building the new Turkey.

Addressing young people in particular, İmamoğlu called on them to join the process by asking, "Are you ready to write history, to prepare our country for the future together, to think together, to work and produce with common sense, and to sign your own future with your spirit that is the hope of Turkey, the guarantee of our future, highly enthusiastic, thirsty for justice, with full faith in democracy, and deeply loving your people and your country?"

İmamoğlu stated that the addresses of the offices will be shared soon and expressed his desire for young people to take part in this collaborative environment.
