A conversation between Ümit Özdağ and a CHP chair that will set the agenda! 'They might remove you from office...'
Victory Party leader Ümit Özdağ drew attention with a conversation he had with CHP Bafra District Chair Serkan Dönüm during a meeting in Bafra, Samsun.
Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ met with party members in the Bafra district of Samsun. During the meeting, Özdağ made assessments regarding the rule of law and the justice system in Turkey and made statements concerning the political agenda.
In his speech, Özdağ argued that the sense of justice in the country has been damaged, stating, "We are going through a period where justice is trampled underfoot and the law is applied according to the individual."
Claiming that the AK Party-MHP alliance is "going through the weakest period in its history," Özdağ said that the government has failed to present a program that would give hope to voters and the business world. Özdağ alleged that the opposition is being targeted for division through "legal games" and "psychological operations."
The most notable moment of the meeting was the dialogue that took place with CHP Bafra District Chair Serkan Dönüm, who was present in the hall. Upon noticing Dönüm, Özdağ greeted him by saying "Welcome" and then jokingly asked, "Which CHP?"
Dönüm responded to this question by saying, "The CHP of the elected Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel." To this, Özdağ replied, "When this answer hits the internet, they might remove the district chair from office."
