The new "process" that began following the PKK's self-dissolution has brought about a notable rapprochement between the DEM Party and the People's Alliance. Following the announcement that the PKK has dissolved itself, remarkable developments are taking place in politics with the start of a new process. A report broadcast on A Haber, known for its proximity to the government, included statements from DEM Party sources.
The report stated that the DEM Party will begin field work between May 16-18 and will visit provinces across Turkey with its members of parliament to inform the public. Emphasizing that they evaluate the process with an understanding of a "common homeland," DEM Party sources stated, "In this process, there is neither a winner nor a loser. The winner will be Turkey."
DEM Party sources also stated that the end of the 40-year period of armed conflict should be welcomed by everyone and called for support for this process.
On the other hand, it was reported that the party will hold a comprehensive meeting next Monday. The details of the process and the roadmap for the upcoming period will be discussed at the meeting to be held with the party assembly and members of parliament.
