A turnaround like no other: 'There are two commanders-in-chief; one is Atatürk and the other is Erdoğan'

A significant development took place today at the AKP group meeting. İrfan Karatutlu, who resigned from the DEVA Party; Hasan Ufuk Çakır, who resigned after being referred to the Party Assembly (PM) with a request for permanent expulsion from the CHP; and Independent Istanbul MP İsa Mesih Şahin, who resigned from the Future Party last summer, have joined the AKP.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan pinned the party badges on the aforementioned deputies and celebrated their joining the party.

"THERE ARE TWO COMMANDERS-IN-CHIEF"

Hasan Ufuk Çakır used striking expressions in his speech after receiving his badge. Çakır stated, "There are two commanders-in-chief; one is Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha and the other is the commander-in-chief of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. I salute him."

Independent Istanbul MP İsa Mesih Şahin, who resigned from the Future Party, was also invited to the podium by Erdoğan during the group meeting. Şahin expressed that he was joining the AKP, calling it his "home and family." Erdoğan pinned the party badge on Şahin and said, "Welcome."
