İYİ Party claim from Abdulkadir Selvi: Court of Cassation may take action

Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi, known for his proximity to the government, wrote in his column today regarding the claim that a 132 million lira deficit was detected in the İYİ Party, stating, "The Court of Cassation may take action."

In his column, where he recalled, "Former Prime Minister Erbakan was tried and sentenced to prison in the 'lost trillion' case due to invoices for three rings of sausage and two kilos of cheese. If Erdoğan had not saved him, the late prime minister would have gone to prison at the age of 86. That is why such financial matters are important," Selvi noted the following:

"The İYİ Party is a party that receives Treasury aid and whose accounts are audited by the Constitutional Court. If a deficit of 132 million TL is detected in the party's accounts as alleged, and especially if there is a situation such as the transfer of this money abroad, the Constitutional Court may both deduct this money from the İYİ Party's Treasury aid, and the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation may file a criminal complaint. Such a danger awaits the İYİ Party. Sedat Aksakallı, who undertook the Presidency of Financial Affairs in the İYİ Party, is an important legal expert, and likewise, İsmail Yücel, who took charge of the treasury, is a name with high bureaucratic experience. I think they will take the necessary precautions."
