Abdurrahman Tutdere responds to AKP claims: 'Our only goal is...'
Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere has refuted rumors that he will join the AKP, stating that these claims do not reflect the truth and that he will continue his service.
Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere has made a statement regarding allegations that he would be switching to the AKP.
Tutdere stated that such claims are a "perception operation" and emphasized that he will continue to stand by the people of Adıyaman.
Tutdere noted that his meeting with Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security Ahmet Aydın, who is also from Adıyaman, took place in a completely friendly atmosphere and that they were seeking solutions to the city's problems. "No one should believe these kinds of dirty perception games," Tutdere said, emphasizing that he took on his duties solely to serve the public.
Stating that one must be cautious against attempts to overshadow municipal work, Tutdere said, "Our only goal is to get this city, which was affected by the February 6 earthquakes, back on its feet. If we were chasing seats, we would have continued our parliamentary duties. However, we are at the service of the people of Adıyaman and we are at our post."
