Adnan Beker responds to Akşener's 'prostitution' allegations: 'If she cannot prove it, she should resign'

Adnan Beker, who resigned from the İYİ Party, has denied the allegations made against him.

Responding to İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener's "prostitution" claim, Beker said, "If I am the person Akşener is referring to, she should announce it at the group meeting; if I am not, she should correct this. If she cannot prove it, she should resign from the party chairmanship!"

"THE LAST STRAW"

Key highlights from Beker's statements are as follows:

(Regarding Akşener's "prostitution" claim): You must name the police chiefs if there are any. They are referring Ümit Dikbayır to the disciplinary board over an alleged harassment from 5 years ago. This allegation emerged in the evening after they announced his referral to the disciplinary board.

I am saying this clearly and plainly. I do not know the hotel, nor do I know its owner. I have never heard the names of the police officers mentioned in the incident. I do not know them in any way, and I have had no contact with them. The baseless, below-the-belt allegations made against Mr. Ümit Dikbayır, a Sakarya MP who served as an influential deputy chairman in the party, were the last straw for me. Following this, in order to protect myself, my family, and the values I believe in, I resigned from my İYİ Party membership."
