It has been claimed that Ankara MP Adnan Beker, who became a subject of public debate following his statements after resigning from the IYI Party, will join the CHP. While Beker's political activity drew attention after he announced that he voted for President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan in the May 28 elections, it is stated that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will pin the party badge on Beker.
Ankara MP Adnan Beker, who resigned from the IYI Party in November 2023 and made headlines for attending the circumcision wedding of the son of organized crime leader Ayhan Bora Kaplan and for his words, "I voted for Mr. Tayyip on May 28. Was there any other candidate?", has allegedly joined the CHP.
According to the report by Mahir Kılıç from Habertürk, Beker will officially join the CHP on Tuesday.
On the other hand, it was stated that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will pin the party badge on Adnan Beker at the CHP's parliamentary group meeting on Tuesday.
