Ahmet Özer meets with DEM Party leaders

Ahmet Özer, who was detained as part of an operation targeting CHP municipalities in the past period and remained in custody for 1 year and 10 days, is continuing his political contacts following his release. Özer announced the meeting he held with DEM Party leaders in a statement on his social media account.

During the meeting, the current situation of Turkey's peace and democracy process was evaluated, and strategies for the future were discussed. Emphasizing his determination on this issue, Özer said, "We will certainly bring the Republic together with peace and democracy."

In his post, Özer included the following statements: "Today, we met with DEM Party Co-Chairs Ms. Tülay Hatimoğulları and Mr. Tuncer Bakırhan. We discussed the stage Turkey has reached regarding peace and democracy and exchanged ideas about the upcoming process. As a scientist and politician who has dedicated years to peace and democracy and has worked on the Kurdish issue, I will fulfill every responsibility that falls upon me in this regard and do what is necessary."
