AKP delegation meets with Numan Kurtulmuş: 'Framework law' ready to be presented to Erdoğan

Contacts regarding the "framework law" proposal, which is expected to come to the agenda before the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) goes into recess, have accelerated. AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala, AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, and AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler visited Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş in his office.

The closed-door meeting lasted approximately 1.5 hours. No statement was made following the meeting. While the meeting was ongoing, Abdullah Güler, who left the Speaker's office, stated in response to journalists' questions that the work is continuing.

According to information obtained, a meeting was also held during the same process under the chairmanship of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, with the participation of MIT Undersecretary İbrahim Kalın, AKP officials, and relevant ministers.

"EXPECTED TO BE PRESENTED TO ERDOĞAN"

The proposal, which is currently under preparation, is expected to be presented to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Cabinet meeting to be held today. Subsequently, the goal is to share the text with the political parties that have groups in Parliament and to submit it to the Speaker of the TBMM tomorrow or on Friday.

If the proposal is submitted to Parliament on Friday, it is planned to be discussed in the TBMM Justice Commission on Monday. The regulation is then intended to be brought to the General Assembly agenda and enacted before Parliament goes into recess.
