AKP figure reacts to taxes: 'Are you trying to push the public into the streets?'

Former Yeni Akit columnist Abdurrahman Dilipak stated in a post on his social media account that the heavy tax burden could lead to a social backlash.

Dilipak used the following expressions in his post:

“Are these sudden and heavy taxes being implemented to provoke the public, who are already at their breaking point, into the streets? A gentle horse's kick is hard. Excessive violence destroys the wisdom in the goal, and that bond of affection breaks where it is thinnest. Too much coyness tires the lover.”

With the new regulation, even ordinary apartment flats could fall under the scope of the “valuable housing tax.” Experts state that these increases will create a serious economic burden on society, noting that the regulation has effectively turned into a “wealth tax.”
