AKP Secretary General and İzmir Deputy Eyyüp Kadir İnan announced that legal proceedings have been initiated regarding certain statements and broadcasts deemed to target his party's corporate identity and reputation.

According to the announcement made by İnan on his X account, a 500 thousand Turkish Lira non-pecuniary damages lawsuit was filed against Şaban Sevinç due to his broadcasts on September 28-30 and October 1 and 8.

The statement indicated that a 600 thousand Turkish Lira non-pecuniary damages lawsuit was filed against Timur Soykan and BirGün TV due to broadcasts on September 26 and October 3 and 10. It was also noted that a 500 thousand Turkish Lira lawsuit was filed against CHP Spokesperson Zeynel Emre due to his statements on October 12.
Stating that the AKP respects freedom of expression, freedom of the press, and the right to criticism, İnan argued that a legal and democratic distinction must be made between the use of the right to criticism and the targeting of a political party's corporate reputation through "untrue allegations."
