Deputy Speaker of the TBMM and DEM Party Istanbul MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder was hospitalized on the evening of April 15 due to a heart condition. Visits from politicians to Önder continue.

AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler also visited Önder in the hospital and received information about his condition.

"We met with our DEM Party MPs and the family here. I once again wish our Deputy Speaker of the TBMM, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, a speedy recovery. I hope he recovers soon and returns to join us in parliament again. It is a major health issue, but everyone remains hopeful. We are pleased to see that he has reached a better level than the first day. Different situations may arise in the coming times, but the crisis situation from the beginning is currently showing progress. Of course, the risk factor and the 5-day waiting period with the doctors is an important situation. We will wait, we will pray. As his daughter also said, Sırrı Bey is a resilient person. I hope he will overcome this trouble as well.
