AKP's Çorum Mayor Halil İbrahim Aşgın has assigned genders to benches in Çorum Square.
Sharing his latest policy in a video posted to his X account, Aşgın stated, "The benches we have reserved for our women in the historic Çorum Square are FOR LADIES ONLY," announcing that benches in a specific area are reserved exclusively for women.

It was observed that a warning sign had also been hung regarding the gender assignment of the benches in Çorum Square. The sign reads, 'These benches are reserved for ladies.'
