AKP MP Hüseyin Yayman: Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the second Atatürk

AKP Digital Media Commission Chairman and Hatay MP Hüseyin Yayman responded to criticisms that the events planned for the 100th anniversary of the Republic were insufficient.

Beginning his press conference in Parliament by commemorating Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the unnamed heroes who founded the Republic, Yayman claimed that the leader who has brought Atatürk's goals to life is AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

'RECEP TAYYİP ERDOĞAN IS THE SECOND ATATÜRK'

Yayman stated, "If Atatürk were alive today, I claim that he would also stand by our President and adopt his policies. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk founded our Republic, and it is Recep Tayyip Erdoğan who has elevated it to the level of contemporary civilizations. Therefore, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the second Atatürk, and he is working harder every day for Turkey to reach its 2053 and 2071 goals."

'UNFOUNDED CLAIMS'

Noting that there are claims in the public sphere that "the AKP has not organized many special programs for the 100th anniversary of the Republic," Yayman said, "We will never leave Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the Republic to your exploitation. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and our Republic are not under the monopoly of a single party, a single group, or a single class. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and our Republic are the common values of 85 million, and these are issues that transcend politics. We place such great value on the 100th anniversary of our Republic that the AK Party and the People's Alliance are the ones that have made the most references and emphasis on the 100th anniversary in both our party program and our election manifesto. Therefore, these claims are baseless and unfounded."

BOASTED OF THE 'CENTURY OF TURKEY' SLOGAN

Hüseyin Yayman stated that they have given a special name to the 100th anniversary of the Republic and declared, "The hundredth year will be the Century of Turkey," adding that Turkey will move toward its future goals with much more confident and determined steps. Stating, "I am proud of our Republic and its values because my story is the story of the children of the Republic," Yayman expressed that the Republic is the protector of the unprotected.
