AKP MP on the Kobani Case: 'The rule of law has been demonstrated to the DEM Party'

AKP Bursa MP Ahmet Kılıç held a press conference at the Parliament. During the meeting, Kılıç stated that the initial actions of CHP mayors bring to mind the idiom,"The fish rots from the head"and added, "We are witnessing nepotistic municipalism and management through appointments of spouses, friends, relatives, and 'cronyism'." he said.

Stating that Bursa Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Bozbey has made similar appointments, Kılıç remarked, "I leave those who recklessly squander our nation's resources; those who do not compromise on luxury and ostentation; those who leave small children to die in municipal pits; and the individual who adds to the troubles of Istanbul citizens trying to push and pull IETT buses and metrobus vehicles that cannot even move due to lack of maintenance and malfunctions, to the judgment of the people of Istanbul and the national public." he assessed.

IS THIS CASE POLITICAL?

Regarding the trial concerning the protests initiated under the pretext of Kobani, "This case is political" Kılıç pointed to the comments and said, "To understand that this case is not political but legal, one must return to October 2014" he said.

Kılıç stated that the so-called high-level leaders of the PKK terrorist organization on October 5, 2014, "called on the youth, women, and everyone from 7 to 70 to protect Kobani and occupy the metropolises" He recalled that they had made statements calling for action, and that on October 6, 2014, the HDP Party Assembly and the Central Executive Board (MYK) convened, and calls were made from social media accounts in support of the text published by the terrorist organization PKK.

Stating that according to information released by the General Directorate of Security, street protests took place in 36 provinces, Kılıç said that the necessary punishment has been handed down to the perpetrators and supporters of the events that resulted in the death of 44 civilian citizens, the martyrdom of 2 police officers, and the murder of Yasin Börü, whose head was crushed.

Kılıç commented, "The rule of law has been demonstrated once again to the DEM Party, which harbored the illusion that those responsible would go unpunished despite all the street incidents, looting, arson, and loss of life, through the decisions reached as a result of the trial."
