Plot from 'First Home Land Project' goes to AKP MP! Monthly income must be under 16,000 TL...
AKP Ankara MP Kurtcan Çelebi became a land owner through TOKİ's 'First Home Land Project,' a campaign that requires applicants to have a monthly income of less than 16,000 TL.
In the draw for TOKİ's 'First Home Land Project,' a plot in the Bezirhane - Cimşit neighborhood of Ankara's Gölbaşı district was allocated to AKP Ankara MP and MKYK member Kurtcan Çelebi.
MONTHLY INCOME MUST BE UNDER 16,000 TL
To benefit from the 'First Home Land Project' campaign, one must have a monthly income of less than 16,000 TL and neither the applicant, their spouse, nor their children may own a house or a plot of land suitable for construction.
HE MADE A STATEMENT: I HAD APPLIED BEFORE BECOMING AN MP
Çelebi stated that he lives in a rented house in Ankara and that he had applied for the campaign before becoming a member of parliament. Çelebi said, "I had an application before I became an MP. I don't know if it was selected or not."
"I AM CURRENTLY RENTING"
When reminded that the application requires a monthly income of under 16,000 TL, Çelebi responded to the question, "Was your monthly income under 16,000 TL before you were elected as an MP?" as follows:
"I work as an insured employee in my own company. It is under my business partner's name. I appear as an insured employee. It is likely that way, the conditions must have been met. I am currently renting. I do not own anything."
HE CALLED AND WAIVED HIS RIGHT
According to a report by İsmail Saymaz from Sözcü, when asked what he would do regarding the plot allocated by TOKİ, the AKP member Çelebi replied, "We do not have such a need at the moment." Stating that he called TOKİ, Çelebi said, "The relevant people at TOKİ told me that the plot had been allocated to me. I told them that I waived this right."
