AKP MP targets the Republic
The AKP MP told those reacting to the hanging of a Palestinian flag, 'I am trying to wake them up from a 100-year anesthesia, from a vegetative state, if I can wake them up at all.'
Teams from the Department of Values Education and Voluntary Organizations brought a Palestinian flag, measuring 45 meters in length and 10 meters in height, to Gaziantep Castle. After extensive efforts, the Palestinian flag was hung on the historic Gaziantep Castle.
AKP Gaziantep MP Ali Şahin shared a photo of the flag on his social media account, which drew reactions from some.
"100-YEAR ANESTHESIA"
Following the reaction, Şahin posted on his social media account, stating, "I am not responding. I am trying to wake those who see Palestine as foreign from their British sleep. I am trying to wake them up from a 100-year anesthesia, from a vegetative state, if I can wake them up at all."
