AKP's Nihat Zeybekci responds to 'Ahmet Özer' reactions: 'Why are you screeching?'
AKP Deputy Chairman Nihat Zeybekci responded to the reactions regarding the arrest of Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer and the appointment of a trustee in his place, saying, "Why are you screeching? You will see what will spill out from there."
AKP Deputy Chairman Nihat Zeybekci spoke at the 8th Ordinary District Congress of the AKP in Çardak, Denizli, held at the Çardak Municipality Cihat Kora Conference Hall.
In his speech, Zeybekci made an assessment regarding the arrest of Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer and his removal from office.
'WHY ARE YOU MAKING NOISE AND KICKING UP DUST'
Zeybekci stated the following:
"Why are you screeching? Wait, let the laundry be aired out. It is a fundamental principle of law that no one should speak about a matter that has reached the court. No one should say even a single word. Let the republic's prosecutors and judges lay everything out and explain everything. Why are you making noise and kicking up dust? You are trying to cover it up. Trust in the law, trust in justice, that is necessary for everyone. Stripped of all political considerations and rhetoric, if there is something, they will pay the price. You will see what will spill out from there? What will come out?"
BAHÇELİ'S ÖCALAN CALL
Expressing that he "finds the hand extended and the statement made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli very meaningful, and sees it as the final door opened," Zeybekci added, "If there are those who will come through that door, then so be it. If they are going to surrender with the magnificent power and will of our state, then of course, whatever the will of the TBMM says, that is what it is. Therefore, I see this as an opportunity. We see the step taken by Devlet Bahçeli as a smart step. Let me state that clearly as well."
