AKP's roadmap for a new constitution has been revealed!
AKP Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazıcı pointed to a process of consensus in Parliament followed by a referendum as the goal for a new constitution.
AKP Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazıcı, in his statement regarding efforts for a new constitution, said that they aim for the text to be submitted to a public vote after being accepted with broad consensus in Parliament.
MESSAGE ON A NEW CONSTITUTION
Speaking at the Western Black Sea Regional Meeting organized by the AKP's Department of Political and Legal Affairs at Abant Lake National Park in Bolu, Yazıcı stated that the party has not abandoned its goal of a new constitution. AKP deputies, provincial chairs, and party members attended the two-day meeting.

Reminding that 19 amendments have been made to the current constitution to date, Yazıcı stated that one of the most comprehensive regulations was the constitutional amendment that introduced the Presidential Government System.
"WE WILL SUBMIT IT TO THE NATION'S APPROVAL VIA REFERENDUM"
Regarding the new constitution process, Yazıcı said, "Turkey will certainly achieve a new constitution together by ensuring consensus in Parliament and then submitting it to the nation's approval via a referendum, with a participatory approach. Hopefully, we will reach this goal, and we must reach it."
FRAMEWORK LAW PREPARATION FOR THE PROCESS
In his speech, Yazıcı also touched upon the second opening process called "Terror-Free Turkey," stating that work is ongoing on a legal regulation under this heading.
Yazıcı stated, "A framework regulation will be made regarding this. Work is ongoing. While achieving this goal, we will never adopt an attitude that would hurt the spirits of our martyrs or upset our veterans."
