AKP's local election gesture to Sinan Oğan
It has emerged that Sinan Oğan, who supported AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the second round of the presidential elections, also cooperated with the AKP in the local elections.
Sinan Oğan, who entered the May 14, 2023 elections as the presidential candidate of the ATA Alliance and announced his support for the People's Alliance candidate Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the second round of the election, also cooperated with the AKP in the March 31, 2024 local elections.
According to a report by Cumhuriyet; the AKP nominated businessman and Turkey Alliance Party Deputy Chairman Behlül Erkin, known as a figure close to Sinan Oğan, as the second-place candidate for municipal council membership in the Mudanya district of Bursa.
It is claimed in political circles that “the AKP nominated Erkin as the second-place municipal council candidate for the Mudanya Municipality ‘at Oğan’s request’ for the local elections to be held on March 31.”
