Akşener addresses Erdoğan, who cannot find money for retirees: 'While giving money to Syrians...'

Addressing citizens in the Eskipazar district of Karabük, Akşener stated that mayoral candidate Erol Serin is well-known, adding, "Look at the other candidates as well. Cross out those who speak through divisive rhetoric.

But take a look at, and consider, those who say 'I will provide this service, I will provide that service, I will touch your lives in this way.' We are here to ask for your votes," she said.

Expressing that some are uncomfortable with her bringing up the issue of retirees, Akşener said, "They say, especially the President, that she keeps talking about retirees, and if we talk about it, the economy will collapse. Well, my brother, the economy doesn't collapse when you give money to Syrians, but does it collapse when you give money to retirees?"

Touching upon the local elections, Akşener said, "If they don't do what we say by the election, if they don't do what you want, punish them, punish them."

Akşener noted that they have submitted a legislative proposal for a flat 11 thousand lira raise for retiree pensions and for the retiree holiday bonus to be 7 thousand lira.

COMPARED MINIMUM WAGE TO RETIREE PENSIONS

Stating that retiree pensions should not be below the minimum wage, Akşener compared the minimum wage and retiree pensions from 10-15 years ago.

Akşener said, "Give your support to Meral Akşener and the İYİ Party in these elections, and just watch what happens. By 2028, all party leaders will come here and stand at attention."

Afterward, Akşener visited local tradespeople in the district and then went to the city center to greet citizens from her campaign bus.

Akşener later watched the concert organized by her party's Safranbolu mayoral candidate, Hakan Peker, at the Misak-ı Milli Democracy Square.

Speaking there, Akşener stated that Safranbolu is the pearl of Turkey with its history, nature, people, houses, and culture, adding, "I claim and believe that with Hakan Peker, it will become the pearl of the world."

Then, accompanying Hakan Peker as he sang his song "Bir Efsane," Akşener left the city after the concert.

Zafer Peker, Reyhan Karaca, and Burak Kut also performed their songs at the concert.
