Akşener's 'dagger' and 'Nebi Hatipoğlu' remarks: 'I have never stabbed anyone in the back'
İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener made evaluations at her party's group meeting. Addressing the change debates within the CHP, Akşener also responded to Kılıçdaroğlu's 'I was stabbed in the back' comments. Akşener also made a reference to Nebi Hatipoğlu, who switched to the AKP.
İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener made evaluations regarding the agenda at her party's group meeting.
Touching upon the change debates at the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP, Akşener responded to Kılıçdaroğlu's claims of being "stabbed in the back."
Highlights from Akşener's speech are as follows:
"Our nation has become unable to breathe due to tightening their belts against inflation. When we look at inflation figures, we see the increase in food prices first and foremost. We say that food security is the most important economic and social problem for societies. In Kütahya, someone said, 'I receive a 7500 lira pension, the rent is 4000 lira, how can I make a living?' We say, increase pensions to the level of the minimum wage."
Akşener, thanking those who addressed her regarding the interruption of her speech at the group meeting, said, "I am the party leader whose speech is interrupted the most and who is pointed at the most, but I will break those fingers one by one."
ISRAEL'S GAZA ATTACKS
My dear nation, the Netanyahu brutality in Palestine continues without slowing down. Palestinians are practically trapped within a ring of fire. The world, meanwhile, is practically dancing around this ring of fire. Those who cause this cruelty, those who are the reason for this cruelty, and those who produce politics from this cruelty have officially formed a chain of happiness. And unfortunately, there is still no concrete step taken in accordance with human rights, conscience, or international law.
Even the Secretary-General of the United Nations is content with just saying "we are horrified" in the face of the atrocities that the murderer Netanyahu has caused in Gaza. While human rights and the laws of war are being trampled upon, while homes, schools, mosques, and hospitals are being bombed;
While women, children, and innocent civilians are being massacred, this indifference shown by the world will be remembered in history books as a document of shame. In just one week, the number of children who died rose from 1700 to 4237. According to press sources, since October 7, a child is killed in Gaza approximately every 10 minutes.
What more are we going to discuss about this brutality? How many more children need to die for the deranged Netanyahu to be declared a war criminal all over the world? Can there be such a lack of conscience, such indifference? Today, in the parliament of every country in the world, Netanyahu needs to be declared a war criminal. The fact that Western countries, which raise the world to its feet when there is a terrorist attack in their own countries, remain silent in the face of the greatest massacre of the 21st century is proof that they have not been able to emerge from the crusader mentality even in the 21st century. America, which markets freedom to the whole world, does not raise its voice while the right to life of children is being bombed. France, which raised the world to its feet when it lost 11 citizens in the terrorist attacks in Paris, pays a support visit to Netanyahu, the murderer of 4237 children, when the dead are Palestinian children. And Netanyahu rewards this hypocritical support by destroying more buildings, killing more children, and occupying more places.
I see with regret that while the West focuses on Hamas's terrorist acts and ignores Netanyahu's terrorism, the East focuses on Netanyahu's terrorism and ignores Hamas, which massacres civilians and gives Netanyahu a blank check. However, Turkey cannot be forced to choose between this hypocrisy of the West and the East. Turkey must be on the side of conscience, right, and justice, which the world seems to have forgotten, and only that. The solution to this conflict that has been going on for 80 years between Israel and Palestine is to cleanse Palestine of Hamas and Israel of Netanyahu and his mentality. To build a lasting peace, Turkey must support those who strive for peace, not those who feed on hatred.
My dear nation, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited our country in recent days. After the visit, one point in the statement made caught our attention in particular. It is said that they visited different regional countries regarding the evacuation of civilians from Gaza and that important steps have been taken. First of all, I would like to say this: the solution to the atrocities Netanyahu has caused in Palestine is not to evacuate civilians from the region, but to stop the murderer Netanyahu as soon as possible. This is very clear.
"IT IS NOT PALESTINIANS BUT NETANYAHU WHO SHOULD LEAVE GAZA"
Of course, there is enough power to stop Netanyahu, who is practically an errand boy for the US. So, let no one try to deceive anyone in vain. We never accept this hypocrisy of eating the lamb on one hand and sitting with the shepherd and pretending to mourn on the other. We reject this immorality that seeks to expand territory through atrocities.
As Turkey, we undoubtedly have to take every necessary step regarding humanitarian aid and a ceasefire first. But the one who should leave Gaza is not the innocent Palestinians, but the murderer Netanyahu himself. We must never forget this. If you do not want to betray the Palestinian cause, if you are serious about your two-state solution proposal, if you are sincere in the idea of being a guarantor state, then you would not allow the Palestinian people, upon whom bombs have been raining for days, to be torn from their homes and lands as well."
NEBİ HATİPOĞLU REFERENCE
İYİ Party deputy Nebi Hatipoğlu, who said that the İYİ Party should form an alliance with the AKP and MHP and resigned from his party, had joined the AKP. In her speech, Akşener addressed İYİ Party Mayoral Candidate Melih Aydın and said, "Melih, you will win, right? Especially after yesterday, you will definitely win. It has become a necessity."
AKŞENER'S 'DAGGER' REMARKS
Making a statement regarding former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's "dagger" remarks, Akşener said, "I have never stabbed anyone in the back. I would stab them either in the chest or in the heart."
Akşener's statements are as follows:
Those who said everything to us because we opposed Kılıçdaroğlu's candidacy became the biggest fans of the new Chairman Özgür Özel as of the weekend!
"Look, they shamelessly hurled the harshest insults at Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu. They insulted him for why he became a candidate and lost. You said he was winning with 60 percent, my friend, this is a story that is in plain sight, I couldn't believe it. And I sat down and performed two rak'ahs of prayer of gratitude. The king is dead, but that strange mentality that left its mark on 2023 and the owners of that mentality are still in place. As a matter of fact, throughout the entire congress process, we were insulted in abundance, and passionate speeches were made that saw every kind of virtue on the left and every kind of immorality on the right. Dagger literature and criticisms of the İYİ Party flew around. Sometimes I am surprised, years ago it might have been said to some of you among you, it was said to me too, hey, I am a woman, why is this being said to me, it was said that my jacket has no lining, I am full of daggers and knives. I thought to myself, what can I do? I went to my late older brother, he said that old men try to make themselves look pitiful with their words. My late brother said this, and I didn't get involved. Now Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu also mentioned the dagger, but the dagger business remained in the middle. If it is me, I have never stabbed anyone in the back until today, I would stab them here or in their heart! I have no business with the back."
ALLIANCE STATEMENT
I am not saying that there is a dagger in my back either. If you don't do what is necessary, you get stabbed constantly; if you want something for yourself, you get stabbed constantly; if you want something to death and don't see the surroundings, of course, you get stabbed. You then find the owners of those daggers in front of you. I haven't stabbed anyone, I wouldn't stab. Since it's not me, whose dagger is it? There is no dagger in my back. This dagger literature was very interesting. No one took it upon themselves, it remained on me, we will see.
Greetings went to everyone except us. That is already a sign that coming together from now on is quite difficult.
