Alaattin Köseler arrested: Election date set for Beykoz Municipality!
The Istanbul Governor's Office has announced that the Beykoz Municipal Council will convene on Monday, March 10, 2025, to elect an acting mayor. The meeting will take place following the arrest of Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler.
Following the Interior Ministry's announcement that Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler has been suspended from duty as a temporary measure, the Istanbul Governor's Office announced that the Beykoz Municipal Council will convene on Monday, March 10, to elect an acting mayor.

The statement issued by the Istanbul Governor's Office regarding the matter included the following expressions:
- Beykoz Mayor Alaattin KÖSELER has been arrested within the scope of an investigation conducted by the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the crime of 'Rigging a Tender'. Following the arrest decision, Alaattin KÖSELER was suspended from duty with the approval of the Ministry of Interior dated 04.03.2025.
- In accordance with the provisions of Article 45 of the Municipal Law No. 5393, it has been deemed appropriate by our Governor's Office for the Beykoz Municipal Council to convene at the Beykoz Municipality Council Meeting Hall on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 14:00 to elect an Acting Mayor. Respectfully announced to the public.
