All eyes on Ekrem İmamoğlu: What will he announce at today's meeting?

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu will hold a press conference today at 10:00 AM. It was stated that the meeting will take place in the Foyer Hall of the IMM Saraçhane Presidential Building.

In a statement made by İmamoğlu's communications team, it was expressed that important and striking information that the public will hear for the first time regarding the injustices that have occurred will be shared at the meeting.

Mayor Rıza Akpolat had been detained as part of a criminal organization investigation...

After his statements to the prosecutor's office, Rıza Akpolat was brought before the duty magistrate judge and arrested... Akpolat was also suspended from his duties as the Mayor of Beşiktaş.

In the vote held at the Beşiktaş Municipal Council following the arrest and suspension of Mayor Rıza Akpolat, council member Ömer Rasim Şişman was elected as the acting mayor.
