Alliance between AKP and YRP ends, ties severed: 'You can be a candidate from them'
Following the announcement by the New Welfare Party (YRP) that it will field its own candidates in Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara, AKP Izmir Deputy Eyyüp Kadir İnan tagged Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer on his social media account and said, "If your search for a party continues, you can be a candidate from them."
New Welfare Party (YRP) Chairman Fatih Erbakan announced that they will not be part of the People's Alliance, stating that they could not reach any results in the 5 meetings held, and that they will field their own candidates in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir.
AKP Izmir Deputy Eyyüp Kadir İnan, meanwhile, tagged Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer and said, "If your search for a party continues, you can be a candidate from them."
SOYER'S STATEMENT ON DEM PARTY
Responding to a question from members of the press asking, "Will you be a candidate from DEM?", Soyer replied, "Being a candidate from DEM is not on my agenda."
