Amusing dialogue between CHP's Tanal and Sırrı Süreyya Önder: 'You ask the Mufti about trash and me about electricity'
An 'electricity' dialogue between CHP Şanlıurfa MP Mahmut Tanal and Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Sırrı Süreyya Önder amused those watching in Parliament.
CHP Şanlıurfa MP Mahmut Tanal, addressing Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Sırrı Süreyya Önder, asked: "Our citizens in Şanlıurfa were unable to exercise their right to participate in our 'turn the lights on and off' protest because the electricity is cut off in Şanlıurfa. My request to you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, is how will this electricity problem in Şanlıurfa be resolved?"
Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Sırrı Süreyya Önder replied: "Mr. Tanal, you have a problem. You ask the Urfa Mufti about trash, even though the municipality is right there, you go to the Urfa Mufti; you ask me about electricity, it's as if you aren't looking for a solution to this matter but are looking for a different interlocutor."
The dialogue between Tanal and Önder amused those watching.
