Murat Kurum, the People's Alliance candidate for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayor, who has drawn attention with his gaffes during election rallies, has now mixed up the election date. In a post on his X (Twitter) account, Kurum used the date April 31 instead of March 31.
Murat Kurum, the People's Alliance candidate for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayor, who is competing against incumbent mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu in Istanbul—the focal point of the local elections—continues to make headlines with gaffes during his election campaign.
After confusing Küçükçekmece with Büyükçekmece at a rally in recent days, Kurum has now mixed up the date of the local elections, which are set for March 31, 2024.
In a post on his X (Twitter) account, Kurum wrote April 31 instead of March 31. Although Kurum deleted the post immediately, a screenshot of it spread rapidly.
