Another party in the People's Alliance reacts to 50+1: 'The priority agenda is inflation'

New Welfare Party Deputy Chairman Suat Kılıç stated regarding the remarks on changing the 50+1 percent requirement in presidential elections, which Erdoğan brought to the agenda, "The issue we should be discussing today is not 50+1."

New Welfare Party Deputy Chairman Suat Kılıç made statements following his party's Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting.

"THE ISSUE WE SHOULD BE DISCUSSING IS NOT 50+1"

Kılıç stated the following:

"The issue we should be discussing today is not 50+1. The issue we should be discussing today is not the electoral basis of the presidential government system. If there is dissatisfaction with the 50+1 system, they will bring it within the constitutional package they are planning to prepare. We will then make our assessment and express our opinion. However, Turkey's priority agenda is inflation, the economy, food inflation, our citizens' livelihood problems, and housing rents. These are the problems regarding the inability to access housing."
