Another resignation in the İYİ Party

Gülsüm Bayraktar, İYİ Party Uşak Provincial Women's Policies President, announced in a social media post that she has resigned from her party and withdrawn from her candidacy for the Municipal Council.

In her statement on social media, Bayraktar expressed that she is resigning from the Provincial Women's Policies presidency, a role she has held for the last two years since joining the İYİ Party in 2020, and that she is withdrawing from her Municipal Council candidacy.

"I SAW THAT THE EFFORTS OF SO MANY OF OUR WOMEN WERE IGNORED"

Gülsüm Bayraktar stated: “I saw that the Municipal Council candidate list was formed by unqualified individuals and the inner circle of our Provincial President. I saw that the list was formed by people who had not even come to our party until yesterday. I saw that the efforts of so many of our women who worked hard were ignored. My reaction is definitely not about the ranking. It is about seeing that there is no value given to women. As a party whose leader is a woman, the fact that the women's branch presidents of other political parties are placed in the top ranks, while I am placed in 12th place as the Women's Policies President, was met with astonishment by the women of Uşak who support us. I am also surprised by İYİ Party Uşak Mayoral Candidate Muhammet Gür, who remained silent and a spectator to this situation. I would like to thank the thousands of women in Uşak who supported us during this process for the favor they have shown. I leave the judgment to the people of Uşak and the women of Uşak.”
