Another statement from the DEM front regarding Bahçeli's remarks: 'In the coming days...'
DEM Party MP Sırrı Sakık made evaluations regarding the call made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli for PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan. Sakık stated that he was not surprised by Bahçeli's remarks.
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's call to PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan continues to maintain its heat in politics.
Devlet Bahçeli made a call for PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan during his party's parliamentary group meeting.
In his call, Bahçeli said the following:
"If the isolation of the terrorist leader is lifted, let him come and speak at the DEM Party group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Let him declare that terrorism has completely ended and the organization has been disbanded. If he shows this resolve and determination, let the legal regulation regarding the use of the right to hope be made and the path for him to benefit from it be opened wide. Let the address extend from Imralı to DEM, not Kandil or Edirne, and let this heavy and historical terror problem be completely removed from the country's agenda. I challenge you, we are ready for this."
DEM Party MP Sırrı Sakık made statements regarding Bahçeli's call for Öcalan.

Speaking to T24, Sakık said, "It is a saying belonging to the Alevis: Goodness is good. It is good to talk in these lands. It is necessary to fill in the substance of Bahçeli's words and show that we have moved from denial and rejection to the negotiation stage."
I WAS NOT SURPRISED BY BAHÇELİ'S WORDS
Stating that "We can solve all our problems by talking in these lands," Sakık said, "I was not surprised at all by Bahçeli's words regarding Öcalan. I see the possibility of more important developments in the coming days as high. We will see, we will look, we will wait," he said.
