Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the CHP Chairmanship with a decision of absolute nullity, made statements regarding İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay, who remained independent for a while after resigning from the CHP and joined the AKP the day before.
Speaking on a live broadcast on KRT TV, Kılıçdaroğlu stated that "special reports" regarding some of Tugay's actions during his mayoral term are kept in the party's archives.
Criticizing the actions Tugay took in the past as Mayor of Karşıyaka, Kılıçdaroğlu said that a plot of land was given to Cengiz İnşaat at a low price.
"Regarding Cemil Tugay, the special reports on the actions he took during his time as Mayor are in the party's archives. Why are you giving a plot of land worth millions to Cengiz İnşaat at low prices? While I, as the Chairman of the party, was talking about the 'gang of five,' you, as the Mayor of Karşıyaka, were serving the 'gang of five.' That is not acceptable. Now, who will the Metropolitan Mayor serve? He will serve the AK Party. That is not acceptable."
