Stating that the CHP was the only party to reopen after the military coup, Baykal expressed that the architect of this process was her father, Deniz Baykal.

Baykal stated that the true CHP understanding is built upon responsibility, a culture of resignation, and party loyalty. Baykal alleged that the problems within the party are being covered up and that some administrators are closed to criticism.

Demirel did not protect the AP, the DP, or his former party members; those parties were closed and gone.

Bülent Ecevit did not concern himself with the CHP or CHP members at all after the military coup.

Deniz Baykal, who fought a great struggle to protect the hearth and ensured the reopening of the CHP,
