Audience member takes a jab at Turgut Altınok over his 'wealth': 'You seem to be neighbors with all of Ankara'

AKP's Ankara Metropolitan mayoral candidate Turgut Altınok was a guest on BabalaTV's 'Mevzular Açık Mikrofon' (Issues Open Microphone) Local Election Special program.

According to a video shared on the social media account of the program's host, Oğuzhan Uğur, an audience member asked Altınok: "While there are trash containers in the villages of Çubuk, Akyurt, and Gölbaşı, there are none anywhere in Keçiören.

If you are elected, will you collect the trash containers in all the districts?"

The response the audience member gave to Altınok's question, "Which neighborhood do you live in?" became a trending topic on social media:

"I am your neighbor, I live in Tepebaşı. You already seem to be neighbors with all of Ankara, given your assets."

Altınok, referring to his previous claim against Mansur Yavaş that "he has a house in London," replied: "Well, I am not neighbors with London. I am neighbors with Ankara.

I am a child of Ankara. All my assets, if you have read the dates, were acquired before I became mayor. It is legitimately earned. My assets have even decreased since I became mayor."

I DID NOT RECITE THE NATIONAL ANTHEM, I RECITED A COUPLET

Regarding an audience member's comment that "You recited the National Anthem incorrectly," Turgut Altınok said, "I did not recite the National Anthem. You recite the National Anthem standing up.

I recited a couplet there to the youth, improvised, about the spirit of Çanakkale.

Dear youth, the National Anthem is not recited while sitting. Altınok knows this."
